FIND IT FRIDAY

I am a shocker for losing things.

I no longer buy expensive earrings as I already have a fine collection of eclectic miss matched pairs. The recent 'lost' list includes a Samsung Tablet; Canon Portrait Lens and Two pairs of glasses.

Today, however, I have regained some faith.  Today, I have found my Samsung Tablet which has eluded me for some 8 months. Yay me!

Man of the House was convinced I had left it behind on a not-so-recent visit to Bundaberg, never to be seen again. I, had not given up hope. Randomly jumping up and hurrying to some forgotten nook or cranny as the light bulb above my head assured me THIS TIME I had remembered where I had stashed it for safe keeping. Only to slink back, disheartened, but not beaten. I JUST KNEW one day I would open a draw or push aside a pile of fabric to reveal the little bugger.

Well today was that day. Not even looking for it mind you, whilst tidying my shoes, I decided to stack away the two store bought bags I had kept, you see I had donated several others as I now make my own bags. Tossing one of the bags up to the higher realms of my wardrobe, thoughtlessly grabbing the other and was about to projectile this one to the far corner, likely to sit and gather dust until the next clean out, when I noticed a heaviness, not likely to be attributed to the bag's construction.  Upon opening said bag there was a shining light emanating from it - really - just like in the cartoons - and there she was, tucked safely inside her pretty home made jacket. It dawned on me how fortunate I was not to have donated this bag.

Interestingly enough, in the last 24 hours I have also found my two pairs of glasses, one thoughtfully popped securely in a foreign case, and hidden in an odd drawer - I don't know why, don't ask, and the other whilst I was digging down the side of the recliner searching for .... the lost TV remote.  *sigh*

The good news is I now have great hope of the all important Portrait Lens turning up today too. Although after two years on the run, I fear she may be lost to me forever.

Just FYI this is a 'sewing un-picker'
which I have had for about 40 years. Go figure?
